Sutra 1.9

शब्दज्ञानानुपाती वस्तुशून्यो विकल्प

śabda-jñāna-anupātī vastu-śūnyo vikalpaḥ

śabda = communication

jñāna = knowledge

anupātī = result

vastu = tangible things

śūnyo = without

vikalpaḥ = intellectual understanding, conceptualization, including abstract thought and imagination

Knowledge can result from communications from the intangible realm that reach you through abstract thought and imagination.

When you open your mind to the idea that everyone and everything are one with the divine whole, this truth will come flooding in. Be ready to receive communications from the intangible realm imparting knowledge through conceptualization, abstract thought and imagination. When you get flashes of insight, make a mental note or jot them down. But don’t worry, if it’s important, you won’t forget it.
