स पूर्वेषामपि गुरुः कालेनानवच्छेदात्

sa pūrveṣāmapi guruḥ kālenānavacchedāt

My translation: Īśvara is the darkness remover of everyone who has ever lived, uninterruptedly, forever, existing in everyone and everything, every embodied form of separation.

This explains how ancient people could have an insight that matches what modern scientists understand about the origins of the universe, the inseparability and permanence of matter, with everything arising at the same time from a single source, and continuing to exist as one interlocking entity. We are the consciousness of creation observing itself.
