Sutra 2.44

स्वाध्यायाद् इष्टदेवतासंप्रयोगः ॥ २.४४ ॥

svādhyāyād iṣṭadevatāsaṃprayogaḥ || 2.44 ||

svādhyāyād = by study

iṣṭa = your cherished

devatā = divinities

saṃprayogaḥ = cooperation

The gods, the Ṛṣis and the Siddhas become visible to him who is given to study, and they do take part in his work.
